- KFC Community Fun Fly

We flew 110 trips today with eight aircraft - all using 9 pilots. It was tiring - but we had a ball.  While Keith Watson and his better-half took care of ticket sales, Lois Tisdale coordinated dispatch. Gord Brown took the pictures so the rest of us flew like crazy.

As proceeds from the event went to the Kingston Chief of Police Scholarship Fund at St. Lawrence College, some of  the local area finest were there. The New York State Police were well represented, as were the RCMP, a unit from the OPP - as was the Kingston Police Department. Even the base's Military Police people were there.

The 15-20 minute flight took the members of the public up to 1,500 feet high, over the city to Fort Henry - and then north to Kingston Mills. At Kingston Mills we turned around to a long straight-in to runway 25. The folks at Flight Service kept us all safe and organized.
