Feb 17 - 20, 2005: Our Booth at the Home Show

Al Baldry is shown below working the crowd at our club booth at the Home Show located at the Cataraqui Town Centre this year. The four-day show is a real opportunity for the Club to put a good foot forward and engage the public in a more direct fashion than is normally possible. Heather organized this year's effort, arranging  many of the Club members into volunteer teams ensuring the booth was manned for as many hours as possible over the show period. 

As can be seen below, we had video going on the television, a nice red backdrop on which pictures were mounted, and a decent sized "Learn-to-Fly" banner running along the top. Information sheets were then used by the volunteer teams to "talk-up" aviation in general and specifically the benefits of Club membership.  In all, it was a rather professional looking effort.
