May 21, 2005: Young Eagles Rally

Our Young Eagle day was a great success with 24 kids getting a young eagle ride, thanks to the pilots and volunteers that helped out. Also a very big Thanks to Dwight and Carl at FSS for doing a very thorough job teaching our Eagles the workings of an FSS station - particularly when they were so busy. Without this kind of dedication there's no way we could put on these events.

Two lucky cadet names were drawn from a hat for a flight in a Harvard. The first ride was provided by a crew member giving up his seat so Justin Wilson (the cadet) could fly back seat during the actual RMC flyby show. And the second ride was later donated by another Harvard crew member. Special thanks go out to those Harvard folks - you made the day, for a lot of people.
