May 6, 2005: TGIF Bar-b-que

While we don't hold our TGIF bar-b-que every Friday, when we do have them they're rather well attended. It was really nice weather this afternoon, where the big topic of conversation was the millions of weird midges that showed up streaking windscreens with a lot of squashed bugs. We also got to see some members not seen in a while. Remember that fellow that we did the Hospital fly-over for back on January 1st - well, he was here today, and looking good. Wayne Kimmet is shown below hand starting his Taylorcraft with the help of his co-pilot wife.

In many ways, it's the social side of our Club that really separates us from a normal flight training facility.
