Sept 11, 2005: Hawke field Fly-out
Well, we had a ball at the Hawke field Fly-out today. The place is easy
to get to from Kingston with the roast corn and hamburgers alone being worth
the effort. And if that wasn't enough, the people were really friendly
and the display aircraft were incredible. People were calling it a
mini Oshkosh.
The AirSport people were showing off their nice suite of Tecnam
airplanes, the RAA folks were providing construction tips for home builders
and the detailing in some of the ultralight aircraft was just a joy to
see in terms of workmanship.
Four airplanes from our Kingston Club flew out, a nice couple in their
C172 from Westport were there, as were a number of people from the Picton
Club too.
